The Inauspicious Return of
"Shameless Plug #... well, you decide...."

Long-time viewers (yes, all three of you) may remember that this time last year I bared my soul -- or at least my sense of dignity -- and shared a series of webmercials that I... um, starred?... in.

Well, it's another year, another level of Grapple (this time Junior High), and thus another batch of commercials. And for that matter, an even deeper level of ignominy.

http://grapplefits.com/

So... er... enjoy?

(And with my birthday being next week, it's pretty much guaranteed that the main promo picture will once more be plastered all over the f-ing building again.... )

Nice pictures, but when I click on them, all I get is "Detecting Connection Speed" for several minutes, and the video never appears.

Looks like a good resource for teens.

'Er, for pre-teens and junior highers, that is.

Odd. I've tried it a few times, as has every member of the Sales team who feels the cause to bust my chops about it. :)

Anyway, haven't had any problems here.

OK, they work here on my home computer. Very entertaining videos; good funny stuff.

Regarding "Groovin'to the Beat", its interesting to know that your musical tastes don't just drive adults away. ;-)

Man I've been typing and erasing and typing and erasing so, in the interest of our friendship, I guess I'll just say that you looked cute on the bicycle.

But, 'a place that is 'just right' for pre-teeners and high schoolers? Of course I'm appalled, but I am at any type of indoctrination aimed at the young so don't take it personally.

Probably should have erased that, too (gesundheit!)

And the "just right" thing has to do with creating an environment that's actually relevant to the kids, rather than the mental image of church y'r already projecting onto this. (You didn't watch the videos, did you? Perhaps that's just as well... :D)
Anyway, given that, the indoctrination stuff is kinda reaching.

Anyway-er, I am once more compelled to add: Lighten up, Morrissey. :P

(I can see I'm gonna get some mileage out of that line... I'd BETTER get to that review soon....)

Yo,

Glad to see your sense of silliness
remains. And above all, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for not rapping.

Yo Rick,

I was doing the hand motions, though, from my old Tech days.

And I haven't rapped since that version of "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" I did back in the day. :D

And for that matter, do you need copies of the Envelopes CDs too (In Yo' Face & Show Place '82)? I appear to have misplaced them after that last e-mail....

I should be getting to work on the others momentarily.

Yo Carl,

I have the copy of In Yo Face you sent me a while back, but would love a copy of Showplace 82. I might have a showplace tape you don't have, I'll have to do a comparison listen, plus I have at least one Librarians tape from Mike's basement. Not able to convert to CD at this point tho that should change soon.

Does "Magnificent Seven" count as rap?

I suppose it does... :)

I don't know where the heck I put those CDs. Pulled 'em out to look at the playlists, then I thought put them right back. I'm a bit distressed about it, actually, although I have to assume they're in the house SOMEwhere.

Ergo, Show Place '82 may have to wait for a separate shipment; I'm working on the tim/Cosmic Bud stuff right now, so hopefully I get that out tomorrow.

tim here. Old kneejerk. Sorry to not always be lightened up like a Morrissey, but let's not ferget you work for a team. I'm just saying.

I have the Librarians CD and think it would be cool to 'close' the set w/'It Is Finished' - and then tear up 'People Who Died' w/EVERYBODY on stage like a great big, blackhearted 'We Are the World'!

The more I think about it, it almost makes sense to just do the whole 'In Yo Face' CD - sans 'Don't Be Afraid' (I'm not stupid) - w/maybe 'Courtney Love Thing', the only 'solo' thing I have that (I feel) reaches the heights of Envelopia.

Carl, yr gonna love this - remeber Rob, the guitar player from Flashback who repeats the last 3 words ya say and considers it conversation? Well, he is flourishing as a frontman. Yesterday, in Dan's basement he introduced the band to the empty room, sounding eerily like you on 'Conklintown...'.

Now we just gotta get the motherhubbard a dashiki!
